L.A.M.F.: The Lost '77 Mixes, Johnny & Heartbreakers Thunders, LP

Vinyl LP pressing housed in a gatefold sleeve. The Heartbreakers' 1977 classic album 'L.A.M.F. The lost '77 mixes' - (Remastered) Johnny Thunders & Jerry Nolan formed the Heartbreakers in 1975 out of the ashes of the New York Dolls. Firstly they were together with Richard Hell, and then teamed up with Billy Rath & Walter Lure. Malcolm McLaren, who'd managed the Dolls, invited them join the Sex Pistols, Clash & Damned in the UK for the infamous 'Anarchy' tour in 1976. Staying in London at the heart of the punk scene for the following year, they signed to Track Records and recorded 'L.A.M.F.' The album was acclaimed as a classic, but was famously flawed with a 'muddy mix' caused by a mastering fault. A properly audible version remained unheard until 1994 when Jungle sifted through the original master-tapes and reconstructed it. Johnny had died in 1991, followed by Jerry's death in 1992. Their influence on the punk scene in 1977 has permeated through to today's new rock'n'roll scene, with many artists over the years citing 'L.A.M.F.' as a huge influence.
