Classical Artists, Music on Vinyl, Philip GlassPhilip Glass is an American composer. His music is considered to be minimal music, although he himself uses the term theater music. Glassworks was originally released in 1982. The album is a six-part chamber music work by Philip Glass. After his larger-scale concert and stage works, Glassworks was Philip Glass's successful attempt to create a more pop-oriented 'Walkman-appropriate' work, with significantly shorter and more accessible pieces written for the recording studio. In fact, the cover of the cassette release stated that it was 'mixed especially for your personal cassette player'. Glassworks is available as a 40th anniversary edition of 2500 individually numbered copies on crystal clear colored vinyl.
