About the Author
Ann Swanson is the author of the successful DK book Science of Yoga, which has been translated into over 15 languages; sold over 300,000 copies; and garnered over 4,100 reviews on US Amazon alone. Ann holds a Master of Science in yoga therapy, as well as many certifications in meditative movement practices, including evidence-based yoga and tai chi programs. She has studied in Tibet twice and attended lectures and meditations at the Dalai Lama's monastery in Dharamsala, India.

Dr. Sara Lazar, PhD, is a researcher at the Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and a close collaborator of Ann Swanson. Dr. Lazar will provide a thorough review of all contents and provide the foreword. The focus of Dr. Lazar's research at Lazar Labs at Harvard is to elucidate the neural mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of yoga and meditation, both in clinical settings and in healthy individuals.
